Elevate your training - from basic rappelling to technical rigging and rescue - to thrive in the vertical realm.

Train at our ropes facility near Las Vegas Nevada or at your venue.

We are committed to providing realistic rope techniques that are not only consistent with real-world operations, but also effective and usable in natural environments and on structures that do not provide the “perfect rappel tower”setting. Our teaching methods provide an overall understanding of anchor and rigging principles, rather than just rappelling down a rappel tower repeatedly. This approach to high-angle instruction ensures that each student has numerous viable options from which to choose and utilize the most appropriate technique in a variety of scenarios.

Rescue Rappelling

Do you work or recreate in vertical environments? Are you ready to take your rappelling and rescue skills up a few more notches? If yes, this intense course is for you.

You will learn the skills necessary to perform efficient self-rescue and partner rescues, as well as how to assist with group emergencies, utilizing lightweight multi-purpose gear.

Topics covered include:

  • Rescuing a victim by lowering or raising from the anchor position
  • Accessing a victim from the top
  • Accessing a victim from the bottom
  • Descending with a victim

Rappel Master

Our Rappel Master training program will provide you with the current knowledge and fundamental skills you need to manage and supervise rappel operations, while you are also honing your own personal on-rope and rescue skills.

It is designed for individuals whose occupations require rappelling, for those who are in charge of rappel training, and for anyone interested in taking their rappelling and outdoor leadership skills up to a higher level. The program is also ideal for canyoneers and other practitioners of adventure-based and experiential education.

Upon successful completion of the course students will receive a Rappel Master certificate.

Rigging & Rescue

Technical rigging and rescue is a blend of science and art. The science can be learned by the memorization and repetitive practice of systems. But the efficient and effective adaptation of those systems to a variety of dynamic scenarios is an art that must be developed through an understanding of core principles and concepts.

Our Rigging & Rescue course goes beyond memorization of basic systems. The focus is always on the critical thinking, creative problem-solving and systems analysis skills required to accomplish missions efficiently and effectively. Course participants learn to rely on knowledge and skills rather than technology — accomplishing more with minimal lightweight gear.

If none of our standard programs meet your needs perfectly, let us custom design a program just for you. A few past examples:

  • Worked with a multi-agency program in Hawaii tasked with locating endangered and invasive plant species. Developed specialized rope systems for descent and ascent in heavily vegetated areas, as well as self-rescue and partner rescue techniques.

  • Trained air traffic controllers at Fort Campbell Kentucky for emergency egress from the control tower.

  • Provided rigging and rescue training for a multi-agency SERT (Special Emergency Response Team) in Utah. Participants included police, deputy sheriffs and DPS officers.

  • Provided rappelling, rigging and rescue training for backcountry rangers from National Park Service, Navajo Nation and White Mountain Apache and San Carlos Apache tribes.
