This is the story of an accident that occurred while on a guided tour in Zion’s Kolob Canyon on 15 July 1993. Three men and five teenage Explorer Scouts from Salt Lake City started off on a multi-day adventure on one of Zion’s most spectacular, but dangerous drainages. Little did they know that this adventure would turn into an epic, tragic disaster.
