Are you ready to take your anchor skills up a few more notches? If yes, this workshop is for you. Training will focus on efficiency in anchor selection, rigging and use. Students will be challenged by scenarios that test skills and expand problem-solving capabilities. Topics will include:
- understanding how mechanical advantage and friction affect anchor loads
- expedient risk assessment and decision-making
- strategies for utilization of marginal anchors
- advanced knot craft for single-point and multi-point anchors
- knot chocks and chockstones
- deadman and cairn anchors
