Instructor: Rich Carlson
The biggest guy in your group weighs 260 pounds. So as long as you have an anchor that will hold at least 260 pounds, you are good to go. Right? Well, it’s not quite that simple. There are other factors that can increase or decrease the load we put on our anchors. In this workshop we will discuss how impact force, vector angles, mechanical advantage and friction can all come into play. PLUS, tips and tricks from Rich’s four decades of canyoneering experience for how to make these factors work in our favor.
